This is a seriously cute kit which sticks together easily and, now I've actually done the thatching, it wasn't as hard as I expected. I've only given it 4 stars because there are a couple of problems. First, the cottage is too tall. Cottages like this are squat-looking. Once the walls are thickened and the thatch is on, it's not so bad. But... The big bad second problem is the unique wall covering method. Maybe the American equivalent of Polyfilla sticks well to felt, but Polyfilla doesn't. Then, once painted, it develops hairline cracks which may add to the 'aged' look, but my fingers are crossed that I don't wake up one morning and find chunks of wall in the garden.
That said, it's a sweet wee house and I'm dying to get 'Miss Marple' and all her things moved in. Just the windows and doors to go....
